Dr. Travis Downs, born and raised in West Texas, enjoyed playing baseball and spending lots of time outdoors. He eventually made his way through college to Parker University in Dallas, where he graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. His passion for helping people led Dr. Travis to operate a private practice for 8 years in the Dallas area. His goal was to get people healthy through holistic wellness.

After many years in Dallas, Dr. Travis made his move down to Central Texas were he opened an outdoor apparel brand and continues to enjoy time outdoors. "Motion!" is a consistent term used by Dr. Travis as he reminds NuSpine patients to keep their joints moving! Travis’ passion for a healthy, well-lived life is easily seen through his dedication to his chiropractic patients and his love for the outdoors.

Dr. Ryan Mijares grew up in Kauai, Hawaii, then graduated with a Bachelors in Science from San Diego State University, with a double major in Kinesiology- Physical Therapy and Biology. While in university, he suffered a snowboarding accident that resulted in a fractured clavicle and nerve damage in his right arm. After consulting colleagues, he arrived at the office of a chiropractor in San Diego. His rehabilitation was a 110% success as the nerve damage corrected itself, and Ryan found his true calling!

After earning a Doctorate in Chiropractic Degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences, Ryan moved to Medellin, Colombia to start a new adventure with his first practice. He had the pleasure of taking care of Olympic athletes, soccer teams, celebrities, politicians, and many wonderful local families. He was even called to come and adjust Guns and Roses when they were in town! After Columbia, Ryan and his wife moved, made a life in California, opened a practice, and had a little girl. Ryan grew up by the ocean and loves to surf, but family life inspired him to look for peace a little farther away, so Texas became their home!
Dr. Ryan has an interest in wellness for the whole family! He likes to view the big picture in regards to the body and its components and does a great job of communicating the more complex concepts to his NuSpine patients. When he isn't in the clinic, Dr. Ryan loves to enjoy the outdoors with his family.
